About Course
In this course, you will learn what defines an emergency or disaster and the various situations these terms may apply to. You will gain an understanding of your responsibilities during emergencies and how to effectively support your participant. The course will also guide you in preparing for emergencies, developing appropriate plans, and ensuring the safety of both yourself and your participant.
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to:
1. Define what constitutes an emergency
2. Identify and describe different types of emergency and disaster situations, and explain appropriate responses for each
3. Develop and implement an emergency plan that meets your participant’s specific needs
